"Bye Bye Fire Drills"
October 25, 2002~10:59 a.m.

We are having safety drills all day today. I guess since this was a 3 day week for the students it was a good time to do it. We are practicing fire drills, tornado drills, intruder drills (lockdown), etc.... What fun. It woulnd't be so bad if it weren't drizzly or humid. My hair looks like a poodle! But at least it is not raining. The poor kids. One of mine said "Bye Bye Fire Drill!" and he keeps asking if the fire drills are over. They are not finished yet! We haven't done the intruder alert yet so I'm scared of that. They always have someone come on campus and scare the kids or something and we all ahve to lock our doors and remain inside. It is so sad that we have to practice this type of drill. SO sad...
