I'm still not ready for Open House. Good thing I don't have many parents come. I usually get just friends that have kids that go there stop by to say "hello". I'll use my time tomorrow to do my bulletin boards and put up posters. I made a list for my para so she has no excuse. I also made a list for me. I live by lists. I forget otherwise. The reason I didn't get much done today is because I had a meeting this morning from 8:30 until noon and then I met with the superintendent at 2:30. It went well. He wants me to get extended day pay as well as hourly for each student I serve. That is cool and I am excited about that. I believe that God rewards you for things you do in life and I guess I'm finally getting mine!
On the subject of rewards. We went to the foster care/adoption initial meeting tonight. It was very informal and lasted about 40 minutes. We filled out an initial form and also filled out background check sheets. We gave copies of our drivers' license and they also took a polaroid of us. I prayed before we went in and asked the Lord to make things work out and the 10 session MAPP class be at a time that we could both go. T. was reluctant to go as we thought it would be on a Saturday morning from 9-12. He couldn't do that with work. Well, because they are short handed, the lady that would possibly be doing it said it would definately be on a week day in the evenings. One lady asked for Tuesdays. So we may have it on Tuesday evenings. That is so awesome as T. can come to those. He said definately we can start going to them if they are that day and evening. So that worked out great. They won't start until September. So it may be a while before we are even able to finish and get through with classes. But in the future we may have the possibility of a child coming into our home for good! I can't wait!
